It’s very nearly time for the 2015/2016 season to kick off on the training pitch – so, why not ease back into hockey life with a nice countryside jaunt to stretch the ol’ legs, blast away the off-season cobwebs and catch up with your club-mates!
Saturday 15th August is the date for the first social event of the new season, the Muckross Hockey Club Hike – and the plan is a simple one: meet outside Muckross Park at 11:00AM, split up into cars and drive to Glendalough, set off on a three hour scenic trek with a ‘pot-luck’ picnic along the way, and be back in Dublin for 5:00PM.
All you’ll need to bring is yourself, a sambo, something delicious to share with the masses, some sturdy shoes, and a raincoat which you HOPEFULLY won’t need…
It’s a great opportunity for ALL senior club players, coaches and managers to get together in advance of the new season, and also for anyone new to the club to meet some friendly faces – so, if you have any pals who have been thinking about joining the Muckross Magic, be sure to invite them too!
